Christ Church Cathedral
Friday 30 September
The Cathedral will be welcoming the Rt Revd Steven Croft as the forty-third Bishop of Oxford for this service. It will be full with people representing the three counties of the Diocese of Oxford – and the wider national and international networks of which the Church is a part. Leaders from our link dioceses of Nandiyal in the Church of South India, Kimberley and Kuruman in South Africa and Växjo in the Church of Sweden, along with representatives of the civic, university and legal communities, from commerce, industry and the military, will greet Bishop Steven as his ministry here is inaugurated. The service will end with a blessing of the city, university and diocese.
The Cathedral will be very full for this occasion and we regret that it is unlikely that there will be seats for those who do not have tickets.
Please see the Diocese of Oxford website for further information.

Tuesday 18 October 2016
Each year the St Frideswide Civic Service celebrates a different aspect of the life of the local community. This year the focus is on nursing and health care and the preacher is the Rt Revd Sarah Mulally, Bishop of Crediton and a former Chief Nurse. Children from a variety of schools across the county of Oxfordshire and a nurses’ choir from Oxford Brookes University will take part in the service, alongside representatives from the civic and academic communities.
Please direct all enquiries about this service to the Cathedral Visitor Office.
